Akira Jin, chairman of the Art Friend Association of Tokyo, writes to Pablo Picasso to notify him that the Guernica exhibition has been unveiled and is proving hugely successful. Furthermore, he assures him that the Japanese people fully appreciate the work after suffering, first-hand, the effects of war, and make the protest and rage it expresses their own. He also informs him that the exhibition will tour Japan’s major cities: Kyoto, Fukuoka and Nagoya, and sends him copies of the catalogue and other related documents. He signs off by reiterating his gratitude.
