Alfred H. Barr Jr.'s letter to Pablo Picasso, dated 9 July 1956

Alfred H. Barr Jr., director of the Collections Department at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, writes to Pablo Picasso on behalf of the museum to inform him that, although he is free to withdraw his works, which have been on loan since 1939, the museum would greatly regret the loss.
