Afflicted Powers

Produced by artist Gail Wight for the second International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Seville (BIACS, October 26, 2006 – January 15, 2007), Retort’s six-minute video projection, on a continuous loop, which was part of a major installation, was envisaged, in both montage technique and content, as a counter to seamlessly managed corporate media news reports of war and anti-war dissent on millions of television screens.
