Evelyn Ahrend's letter to Alfred H. Barr Jr., dated 14 June 1939
Evelyn Ahrend, director of the Programmes Office of the Spanish Refugee Relief Campaign, reassures Alfred H. Barr Jr., director of New York’s Museum of Modern Art, that she understands the conditions for the delivery of the works and enquires about the dates scheduled for the exhibition Picasso: Forty Years of His Art, to gain some idea of when Guernica must be returned to New York.
